Stags in France

Today I went in the Stag to an auto jumble/old car buff’s « do » at Villeneuve sur Lot, which is about 40 km from me. I was surprised in finding myself parked next to a light blue Mk 1 Stag. It was RHD, auto, good nick and French registered – I’d say from the number that it was registered about 18 months ago. There is a brown LHD one that lives nearby, but no sign of him today. I hung around it for a bit, but no sign of the owner. I should have left a note, but no pen or paper. I wonder if he is one of us? There was one of those rally plates on the windscreen giving details of the car and it was from a club in Albi. That’s a good 3 hour drive from Villeneuve and my guess is that he lives closer than that. Or maybe it’s just me thinking that 3 hours is a long way in a Stag.

So, there are a few hidden ones out there.

Dont't know about France, but I'm sitting in a hotel in Crete, wondering if there are any Stags out here? Anyone know?
Lots of Peugeot convertibles & Citroen Pluriels, so, barring the heat a Stag would be superb.

Shame we rarely get the weather in the U.K.

I think that the only Stags out there are human ones! And mostly called Stavros or Spiro! Probably all autos as well!

We saw one going around the Caen Peripherique on 12 August! We also saw a few TR4/TR4a while in Brittany/Normandie for 3 weeks this summer.
