Can any one please tell me what spanner size the nipple is please on a rear brake cylinder? Is it 6 or 7mm? or are they imperial?

    Cheers

They're very tiny, stupidly so, I think 7mm is as close as you'll get. Martin.

          Hi Andrew,
If they are original Lockheeds then they are 1/4" AF. I am fairly sure that repros are metric, most likely 7mm.

Pete is right one of mine is 1/4" AF the other - a replacement is 7mm.

They should be 1/4", the correct spanner being on the opposite end of the official classic Mini front drum brake adjuster spanner....

Thanks guys. Thats interesting the repros being metric. I thought my 1/4 spanner had become round. So they are metric. Cheers, Andrew

7mm here - those were replacements from Paddocks.
