if only a Stag was as easy to dismantle and rebuild!

But I said the very same words this evening when repairing my daughter's Mk4 Golf electric window. The original metal/plastic window support clips had broken, a known fault replaced for free if the car was less than 6 years old, her's isn't. The replacement clips are all metal. The job, complete strip down of the door and reassemble took just about an hour and cost £13 for the clips, £5 for an 8mm triple square or splined bit and my time. VW wanted a quoted £185 plus labour!
And not a sniff of cardboard in sight!
