    lumpy when cold

Hi, I have recently noticed when starting from cold on choke the car feels lumpy. A bit like only 1 bank of cylinders are on choke. I have checked the choke cables and they both seem to be operating the carbs correctly. By the time the choke isn't needed the car is running fine.

    Any Ideas

Have you had the carbs apart? One of the choke disks on mine was 180º out, causing this effect.

I guess it is very lumpy?

If it is misfiring with the choke on, it could be as simple as
the fast idle screws on the choke mechanisms not being in sync (tricky to get right I can appreciate).

I did have the carbs apart a few months ago but the car has been fine since. The only thing I did just before I noticed the problem was I replaced a leaking oil switch which involves fiddling with a spanner at arms length but I can't see anything I might have done.
