Retro sound radio

I am wanting to remove the naff 1990's CD unit the previous owner had installed and replace with a new but old style radio unit. I think i will go down the Retro Sound radio unit route, any ideas on which versions fit the Stag and what sort of base or backing plate is needed to fit the new head in the car? Are they easy to fit?

Any 2nd hand ones out there?

We have installed a Retrosound unit in DIN-size. I have seen pictures of other stags with this unit also so assumed it would fit (we have changed the wood aperture to one with DIN size) but on our car the unit is about 1" too long and will hit the heater box. We have a AC-car, so it may be that the heater box is bigger on our car? We also installed a speaker from Retro Sound in the dash that others on the forum has used, but it seemed to be even less space on our car than what the others here described.

few years ago i purchased a system from the USA, totaly concealed tuner opperated via radio remote with a remote 10 disc auto changer. a 1970's head unit was installed for show. this system was called "Secret Audio". i must admit i do not use it, dont listen to music much when driving.
