Respray costs and recommendations

Last thing is I wouldn't recommend the Stag specialist that did mine (they are in the mag) I'm happy to name and shame in private.

Had mine bare metalled about 11 years ago by "Stag Specialist" after taking it back at least 4 times to have huge runs taken out and panels repainted I ended up with visible masking lines on a bare metalled car and loads of other issues. I can not name the specialist as you can only put praise on this forum ???
i had my car repainted again by a local guy 2 years ago who charged me £1600, I've had loads of positive comments re the quality of the finish and although I know it's not a perfect job it's far better than the job I paid a lot more for 11 years ago.
I would ask around other classic car owners for a recommendation and look at the standard of the work on a car they have done. It's not always a case that paying more results in a better job.
