i don't know if anyone watched a mini-series recent - I think it was 'The last weekend'. It was set in the current year. However the joint star (well mostly in the first episode & occasionally in the other episodes) was a nice green Stag - in perfect condition.

The best line was when someone in the back said 'do you have to go so fast' and the answer was - 'this is a powerful V8 3 Litre - they don't make them like this anymore!'.

There were loads of shots of the car - hence being the 'second actor' !

I saw it (weird ending in th elast episode I thought) although Mrs Smith only saw Rupert Penry Jones and not th ecar. According to another thread on here just after the first show it is the same car as appears in New Tricks

The funniest bit was when he was attaching the soft top in the rain "come on come on!" - he said doing the forward connection, We' e all been there!
