    Vulcan !

I know some on here are interested, I apologise to the others. This morning, the Vulcan was circling the village for about ten minutes, as if waiting, sure enough, it was joined by a Spitfire, and several lesser craft, they continued circling, in various configurations, for about half an hour, sometimes way too low, I could see the Spitfire's Pilot, brilliant ! my own personal air show, magnificent and quite moving. Martin.

I'm so jealous I've managed to miss the beast at shows over the last 2 years, it either didn't show up as planned or came on the day before I attended, grrrr. on the plus side I have seen 21 spits in formation over Duxford fantastic sight and sound.

Sorry, no pictures, I just stood there with my jaw dropped - I think gobsmacked is the word I'm looking for Martin.

Hi Martin - I think it was this - http://www.vulcantothesky.org/news/3...at-Sywell.html. I bought raffle tickets at Shoreham airshow but my number didn't come up :-(

Hiya Simon, that must have been it, thanks for digging that out. Sywell is owned by a strange cove who does very little about publicity, it's only about three miles from us but nobody knew it was happening. Bad luck about the raffle.
Drove past it the other day and there was the tail of a Hawker Hunter peeking over the hedge, I haven't seen it fly. Martin.
