Been enjoying putting some mileage on the old girl and making up for most of the summer when she hardly moved a wheel.
It's really been a case of any excuse to drive her at weekends. Today off to do some shopping at Sainsburys in Newcastle under Lyme, then because I had nowhere else to go, drove up the M6, had a coffee at Knutsford services then back home again. I know how to live the good life
I'm delighted with the engine rebuild apart from one small thing - the bonnet keeps popping open
The trailing edge of the bonnet seems to sit a fraction too high when the bonnet is closed so I'm thinking that the striker needs some adjustment.
Now, this might seem a daft question - but bear in mind that I don't list "mechanical prowess" as a skill on my CV - do I adjust the screw in the striker pin clockwise or anticlockwise to get tighter bonnet fit?
Here's a photo of the old girl in all her splendour (Yes Bruce, I know the hardtop is on and it has been sunny today)

Regards
Peter
