Soft top side seals

This may sound a wee bit odd, but does anyone know if any of our suppliers sell 'soft' soft top side seals? Mine are so hard that they are holding the door frame out causing loads of wind noise and draughts. Are they easy to fit?

Hi ya.

Think you'll find most suppliers have them in stock. Got a complete soft top seal set from Paddocks.

They are easy enough to fit if a bit fiddly. Well worth doing.

Hi Brian,

i suspect you mean the kind of original seals which were more sponge-like which had more 'squashability'. I have not seen them for a Stag. i know that Bill at Rarebits4Classics (http://www.rarebits4classics.co.uk/) stocks many different types of extrusions - he may be able to help. The other supplier who does a strong range of this kind of stuff is Wollies (www.woolies-trim.co.uk)

Paddocks do all 9 seals for £28 but don't know how much the 2 side seal are?

The seals are commonly available from several places, I think the point is that they are all quite stiff compared to the original ones.

Thanks for the advice everyone. My current side seals are virtually new, its just that they are so HARD! I'll try Woolies or Rarebits and let you know how I get on!
