boot carpet why so big?

Hi all. my boot carpet that goes on the bulkhead is so long that it goes all the way down to the boot floor on the left side and fits into the spare wheel well and just up to the tank on the right side, looking at pictures they all seem to come just below the bootboard fixings, does anyone else have the same? also on the left hand side there was some carpet fitted to the panel that sits below the bootboards and next to the spare wheel is this standard or has a po gone over the top with carpet?

Hi Joel,

Although I can't answer your question about your boot carpet, I've had and seen numerous trim items where the manufacturer produces items that are significantly bigger than the original (carpets / seat trim / headlining etc)

I guess they think they're doing us a favour and I don't suppose it costs them much however sometimes it can prove to be a bit of a pain
