    tips on windscreen removal please

hi all, have got to do some repairs around windscreen so i am going to take it out and was after some tips/advice as to where to start top left or bottom right etc. And i think i heard that its easier to fit the trim to the rubber when the screen is out and fit it to the car as one unit, any thoughts or has anyone done this with any success.
    thanks Joel.

this is something i will be doing over the winter . i am going to repair the gutter on the nearside . i will just cut the rubber and take the screen out cos i will replace the rubber with a new one . i know people have had trouble with winscreen rubbers and the size . they can be slightly different sizes . and yes you are correct in sayint the trim has to go on first before you fit the screen.

yes cut the rubber out and very gently push from the inside out ,but be carefull ive broke two even taking extreme care .i think its age that makes them more brittle and they are weaker from inside out so remove as much rubber as you can do not pry.
        good luck .

          Yep, definitely do not pry.

I find it best with two people - one almost lying on the front seat with feet pushing on the windscreen, the other outside, helping the screen out.

          Cheers

Make sure when replacing screen that new rubber is warm so more pliable. would also be helpful if garage is warm.
