    Spot the difference

    Just finished a little job on the car that I've been promising myself I'd do one day.

    I'm not sure how much it will improve things but I've deliberately not changed anything permanently so I can revert to standard if I decide to later.

    Has anybody else ever tried it ?

    Ps You might be able to spot three other little mods that I did earlier and which I'm very happy with. Free pint for the first person who picks up all of them

    Hi Julian

    One difference is that you have put the clock where the segment display should be.
    The second is the that the segment display is where the air vent should be.
    The third is the choke knob position.

    Correct?

        Very good Bruce - you've nearly earned your pint but I said three other jobs, in addition to today's, so anybody spot the missing one ?

        The job I did today was to swap the clock and display over as I already had the clock in the vent hole. As you can see, I have an OPG where the clock was originally (Btw that's not my missing mod). I'll be interested to see if it helps me forget my indicators a bit less and if it makes the warnings more obvious ! My hand still obscures the left hand indicator warning, but at least I can see the right one now

        I simply made up an extension loom for the swapover:

        I find the choke on the right to be a real advantage however it took quite a bit more work than I'd originally thought as I had to rewire the HRS switch and warning light to the other side.

          So we're looking for 4 things?
          The things Bruce mentioned plus oil gauge? Is it a TR6 one?

              Yep Kevin, I was looking for four things and I counted (silly me!) swapping the clock and the display as one thing. You're right in that the OPG is a TR6 one as that matches the typeface nicely.

              Anyway, my thoughts were:

              Today's job: Swap clock and display
              Mod 1: TR6 OPG
              Mod 2: Choke on the right
              Mod 3: ???????

              I reckon my Mod 3 is the most useful one I've done to the car so far although you can only just see it in my pic

                      I didn't comment on the drivers side parcel shelf because that is not a recent mod on your car. It had it when I met up with you at the N&N in August. I remember this because my big feet wouldn't fit underneath it.
