according to classic cars this month The jaguar xj auto box fits directly to the GM small block v8 as the jag box was designed by GM

any mileage (pun intended) for you hairdre..oops auto drivers out there!!

both my sister-in-laws can only drive autos, so one ofthier husbands is always on the look out for a 'special needs ' gearbox in his cars.

Thanks for the vote of confidence Stuart - I've got an auto coz I'm such an old fart!

(true reason is the wife said "yes you can have a Stag, but it has to be auto" - and like a typical bloke I opted for a quiet life...... plus all our cars at present are auto - but my Herald or Vitesse won't be!!!!)
