In response to some of the above:

    1. Yes, that was the 'eventful day'

    2. Yes, I did hit the car in front, and a Flybe lorry, which did for the windscreen surround.

    3. No I didn't respray the white one, I sold it to a guy near Belfast

    4. The long legs are mine as I took the photo with the late afternoon sun behind me, which is what distracted me in my mirrors. The bloke in the photo is the Citroen driver who was bleating abouthis damaged rear bumper!

    5. I was actually, and admittedly, doing 55-60. The speed limit is 60 on that road.

    6. Absolutely 'no comment' about Java Green :P

      Hi stag46

Ive fitted a similar version of these discs along with the green brake pads and I feel they have improved the braking on my car, that could be down to the green stuff brake pads though.

My original discs were slightly warped so brake feel is now much better along with the Tony Hart top steering column star washer mod its like driving a different car.

Hello DJT did you hit the car in front of you then? Also you have Carmine Red car now did you respray the white one?

I would have gone for Java green like that really nice on the forum but don't know who owns it?

            L
thats our undisputed, posting champion and general good egg, techguru, although the car is ,shall we say a little bright, but he loves it and as we know in classic cars one mans meat is anothers poisen.

is your car standard stag46? how come it took you so long to post.

            rgds Nick
            Hello Nick

I am very shy and prefer just to read the posts but no one local to me had these discs so I thought I would pluck up courage and ask the tech guru's on here.

By the way why are you call Mad Cyclist are you Mad or something?

And is the name of the guy who owns the Java Green stag Kermit as you post a picture of Kermit the Frog?

            L
Hi Stag46 dogsnadgers is correct, although i love playing around with my car, the bike is still my true love and i would not want to have to choose between the two, am I mad? well only a little ,as my bike would cost more than my car!!

we actually call the green stag owner Russ or as his forum handle of KRYTEN, its only his car thats called kermit.

don,t worry about being shy as in the lots of the area N+n's they insist that you drive there naked as it helps break the ice, welcome on board andmay be see you at national day (clothes optional)

In reply to the original query about drilled rotors have a look here at Chris Longhursts car bibles site. Scroll down a bit and there's a paragraph that starts An Important Note About Drilled Rotors ...

Many years ago drilled discs used to come with a safety note advising regular (6K mile) checking of the wear pattern for this reason. I ran an old MG with drilled discs and you could notice the wear pattern developing after around 25K miles. I didn't feel the rate of wear was any faster than a solid disc - others may think differently though.

                          Hi Stu

Luv the black centre Minilights with the Topaz. My new discs do look good through my Minilights. Don't have a close up pic with the wheels on but have posted a pic from my phone of the disc change job almost finished. Will post a pic with the wheels on later.
