Just when you think things are going well
Life pops along and kicks you in the teeth, today I managed to get the n/s in primmer and decided to re assemble the suspension so I could move the car out of the garage to start on the o/s,
before re assembling the suspension I needed to remove the old underseal from the wheel arch and repaint the wheel arch this is what I found

You have definitely made a thorough job of removing the old underseal! At least you have a nice clear plan of action and you will know the condition of the steel you weld in is brand new.
