Windscreen wiper gremlins.

Odd things happen when the windscreen wipers are turned on , works fine on fast but when on slow speed the wipers stop on mid sweep then after a short while they automatically re start as if nothing was wrong, always stops in the same position and trying to move the wipers manually does not re engage anything.

Any ideas on whats wrong.

try taking the wiper arms off, oil/grease the wheel boxes,and replace the arms,the wheel boxes do rust

Hi Steve, welcome ! It sounds like it might be the brushes, there are three, when they wear they can stick in their holders, then drop when they're ready. A clean up of the motor and stretching the springs a bit may provide a short term solution, try that first, and if it doesn't work, you can buy a new brush pack. Good luck, Martin.
