Cavity wax gun cleaning

Hi All

Can someone advise the best method of cleaning out a cavity wax gun and its associated hoses and nozzles? The Stag and the stripped GT6 chassis are going to get the treatment (ooh eer) next week!

White spirit? That works on Waxoil, Dynax-S50, etc.

Agreed. White Spirit. Even worked for me on 30 year old dried and hardened cavity wax! Also sometimes recommended over here is "Waschbenzin" which seems to translate to Petroleum Benzine and is used for cleaniing purposes.

When using Waxoil, I always soak the gun and hose in hot water to make it more fluid, but why do you need to flush it BTW?

Warm the spray gun up using a hot air gun until its quite hot and the wax is literally dripping from the nozzel etc. then spray some white spirit through it. Works for me.

Waxoyling is such a messy, horrible job but one of the most rewarding
