Straight Through Exhaust

Has anyone fitted a set of the straight through sports exhaust boxes that TH is selling in his eBay shop and if so what do you think to them and are they much louder than the standard boxes? One of my silencers has a crack around the exit pipe which I've repaired before and was considering fitting a pair of the TH ones instead.

hi dave ,ive got a straight through system my box,s are similar visualy to stag but there are no restrictions. ive retained the original rear stainless big bore pipes which also have an element of noise suppression internaly . the sound is fantastic ! but only when you want it to be .tis noticibly different at tickover and general light driving but not anoying even cruising at above 70 its fine .but when you summon the devil with the right hand pedal it makes its presence felt and sounds awesome !would love to hear it from a pedestrian point of view as a driveby. the TH ones wont be much different ,but it depends on your personal taste as to what you require .as a daily drive it may get tiresome but i think i could cope .

Ive got quad big bore tail pipes on my Stag which seem to make it louder so Im a little worried that the straight through boxes might make it even louder, having said that my exhaust has always seemed louder than other stags Ive compared it to, my mate used to say he could hear my stag coming a mile away from his house. Im going to be dropping the exhaust off mine over winter so thought it would make sense to repair or replace the existing silencers at the same time.

Hi Dave,

I have bought a set of the TH exhausts and I think they sound very good. They are not mega loud, but they do get you noticed!!!!
You can see straight through the pipe so they are straight through as suggested but on my car they are not so loud that they would annoy you on a drive.

I had to trim the pipes slightly to get them to fit correctly but I am pleased with them.

Ive driven behind steves stag and appart from spitting flames and sounding like Thor was having a bad day everything was very civilised.
