Problems with the Forum on Windows 8 and Windows Explorer

Has anyone else tried to use the Stag forum with Windows 8? I find the return key does not work. Only able to write on one line :-) Worked fine on Windows 7. Will load Firefox and see if it is a browser compatability issue. Just curious if anyone else has tried the forum after an upgrade to Windows 8.

It works with Firefox so an incompatability it seems with Internet Explorer.
    Interesting to know

Ditto Mike, finally got a new pc with 7 on it this week,so different to xp,not sure I like it yet,and at the same time swapped over to virgin fibreoptics which keeps dropping out but getting better and when it is working im getting 32mb instead of the "up to 30mb".so much to learn at once

but on the plus side my smillies and frownies now work

              Hi Steve,

Like many others, I'm sure, I went from XP to 7 a couple of years ago. Found it hard to get used to at first but now think it's excellent.

Give it time and patience and I'm sure you'll feel the same.

              Good luck.

              Cheers

              Julian

And you honestly believed everything would work without hiccups 4 days after its formal release??? Hold on Win8 until after SP1 (or its equivalent) has been released.

:-) :-) Just upgraded my PC last week and it came with a voucher for Win 8 so decided to load it.
I can live with Firefox for now.

No one has mentioned the Apple! Expensive I know but we all have discerning and exotic tastes on this forum. It defaults to Safari and is trouble free, I moved over from Microsoft bloatware as I wanted performance and ease of use.

I'm ducking now waiting for the responses.

I'm still running Windows XP on my PC, but I installed Firefox a while back and find it much quicker and less troublesome than IE. So far I have only found one internet based system that won't run on Firefox and that is our offshore personnel movements system (Vantage).

At work we have Windows 7 and the new Office applications took some getting used to. Personally I prefer Office 2007 to 2010.

Keep your head up as I agree with you. I am no fan of the way Apple control the software but it works. Just had an e mail from Apple asking me to contact them as my hard drive may fail and they will replace it FOC. Not bad for a computer over 2 years old and out of guarantee.

To be completely even-handed Safari has its own limitations..... i always have Firefox available for when one of them surfaces - but for some reason i have never used it as my default browser whether on Windows or OSX ....... weird

You are right about apple. 99% of the time I access the forum from the IPad and it works fine.
I just happened to want to reply to an item on the forum after finishing the upgrade to Windows 8
                              when noticed the issue.

I dont have a mac yet. TBH for home use, the IPAD addresses nearly all of my computing needs.
Apple do great products. Lets see if Microsoft can catch up with their new Surface devices.
They are certainly on the back foot at the moment with two good OS's to contend with in the
                              Mobile space.

Interesting time for the consumers for a change.
