Door mirrors

I've never liked the standard door morrors on my Stag. Too BL Marina for my liking.

Can anyone please recommend a suitable replacement which will fit without drilling additional holes?

Photos would be much appreciated.

You could put the door mirrors on from Federal Stags. They were also fitted to AMC cars in the USA so reproduction ones can be bought new. They're available with remote adjustment - a small joystick - not electric.

Pete Howells sells a set of washers that you fit to the mirror and greatly improve the adjustment range, certainly enabled mine to work.

Our Ex-USA Stag has that mirror, but only one on the drivers side. I like it and the internal adjustment is very nice, much better than electric adjusters!

I agree the standard wing mirrors are a right pain. Hardly any adjustment at all. I am sure there are better ones out there, just a matter of choice.

I've got a pair of Tex door mirrors as used on the TR6, tinted convex glass and bags of adjustment. Martin.

I have the US spec mirrors on both doors.
Yes search AMC on eBay.com from America.
For internal joystick and bezel used Jaguar XJS ones.
They look good, but field of view is pretty poor.
