Arbman101 - It's actually more readily available than you think. It can be found on practically any garage forecourt and, according to where you live costs about £1.30 a litre. You'll need to take your own container as well.It wont be sold as Plusgas though. You'll need to look for a pump dispensing a product called DIESEL.
Anyone know where to get Plusgas from?
I've found it online but with delivery works out at £12-£14 a can!
Rgds......Al
Hi Al, i got my last can from what used to be Frimley Motors (can't remember its new name)in Frimley High street - seem to recall it was £3/4 , Camberley Autofactors on Hawley Road will probably sell it to .
A bit like WD-40, only it works. I've not seen is as an aerosole only a tin of liquid, but you might be able to get it in that form if you look hard enough.
the WD in wd40 means Water displacer and it does its best at that the other things are just by-product atributes, i am with bigj diesel is best/cheapest option
CLEANS: WD-40 gets under dirt, marks and grease making it easy to wipe away. It also dissolves adhesives, allowing easy removal of labels, tape, and stickers
PROTECTS: WD-40 protects metal surfaces with corrosion-resistant ingredients to shield against moisture and other corrosive elements
LUBRICATES: WD-40's lubricating ingredients are widely dispersed and hold firmly to all moving parts
PENETRATES: WD-40 loosens rust-to-metal bonds and frees stuck, frozen or rusted metal parts
DISPLACES MOISTURE: Because WD-40 displaces moisture, it quickly dries out electrical systems to eliminate moisture-induced short circuits. Turn the power off before you spray

If anyone needs any, I have arranged delivery by supply vessel of 600,000 litres of diesel over the past 5 days. Only two problems:
1. It is 'red' diesel
2. You will have to travel 90 miles NE of the Shetlands to fetch it
Pity I can't bring some home on Friday, as the misses is finding it difficult to get some at home with the filling stations running dry
AND ELVIS ATE MY HAMSTER :Xnot saying its not good for somethings but there are far better things for undoing tight things...heat is as as good as any, its first job was as a water disperser on ignitions ect, its also good on cold lorry engines as damp start, but don't quote me....it was only a little fire
