Lateral or is it Vertical thinking?

My 'double length' garage has been annoying me recently, I want to use the rear half as a workshop with my lathe, mill etc but my 2nd classic just gets in the way and I have a major car moving exercise every time I want to play in the workshop. Solved the problem today!

Will make redoing all the undersealon the Stag next winter much easier too!

I've always thought these ramps were a great idea, I'm just worried about a clutch or brake fluid leak. Is that why the Stag's underneath?

    All the best,

    Raoul

i just thought it was a strange looking hardtop, does your partners come out the ground inbetween two parted palm trees,or straight out the bat cave?

      I now have garage envy:X

Alas it not an electric lift, I could not find one anywhere that would fit in an 8 feet wide garage so I made one! It uses 4 X 1.5 ton chain hoists and it took me 10 mins to raise it myself (chasing around each corner and 3 mins with 2 people. The thing is the 'Seven' spends the entire winter off the road and that is the main time I want to use the workshop. I trained as a Mechanical engineer so I know a bit about stress analysis and factors of safety and this is totally overengineered.

I was worried about oil dripping down so the Seven has a 'nappy' under its incontinent bits!

Blimey, that knocks the spots off the hardtop pulley systems I have seen in some of the old club publications.

I have not got enough height - suggested to my wife that we could take out the bedroom above so that I could have a 4 post lift but she was not too keen on the idea!!

            oh well

It sounds a perfectly reasonable suggestion to me. If youmounted the bedroom floor on top of the lift then the bedroom furniture would simply go up with the lift and she would never know!

              - Unless she open the bedroom door one day and found a car in there! Alan
