    Oil pump, interesting

Just looked on Paddocks website and they sell reconditioned oil pumps. Anyone know anymore about these as they also sell the standard County ones?

All I can think of is they are stripped and new relief valves fitted

    This looks good as well

Anyone tried fitting this to a County pump?

    Cheers

If I am right, it is the aluminium bodies that wear, so a new set of the steel rotors won't be any good unless they alone were damaged by foreign bodies?
Header tanks - you can't beat a bit of bling.

Didn't know recon kits were available, but worth checking the original pump for wear before binning it. Excess end float can be lapped out of the case, but if it is worn around the edge of the case it is bin fodder

Generally found that the alloy bodies fare far better than the steel parts - same with cam followers, the bores in the head are normally fine when the buckets are totally fubarred
