Hi all,
Sorry to keep bugging the forum with my dumb questions; there will be plenty more over the winter!
I don't have the gear selecter panel on the car 'cos I'm trying to get the foil out the old one and into a new one (another story
).
So, selected gears by the classic clunk into D and R (car idles a wee bit too fast). At one point when I put the car back into park it sounded exactly like grinding the gears in manual box with poor clutch control
. Was the selector partway between R and P to make that noise? It was fine afterwards and didn't make the noise again. Just curious.
I am planning on having the auto box rebuilt sometime soon, the car is leaking auto box oil and always needs one or two potties underneath it.
