I am trying to replace a RH hood catch that was broken when I bought the motor. As you can just about see the "new" one is about 10mm too high when it should be latching sweetly in. I can see no up and down adjustment so I am completely baffled. The hood is a v tight fit possibly because it is in v good condition and guess it was not used much - thanks to the previous owners. Any suggestions most gratefully received.Hood catch pic 2.jpgHood catch pic 1.jpg

Hood catch that won't catch

Thanks for that. The only difference I can see between each side is that the bar that runs round the back (629770 I think) where the U bend is (nowt to do with loos) is higher than the left so I'm sure you must be right. The rear hood catch is also some way off the centre of the hole - needs to stretch back - which is always a bugger to release. I think I need to find a clever local chap who can hold my hand. Many thanks.Halfords wipers, Turtle wax and shampoo - RV8 and a beautiful Rover 75 ("relax it's a Rover")

The solution is to get the frame staightened. Its a bit too complicated to explain on here. Contact me if you want any help.Halfords wipers, Turtle wax and shampoo - RV8 and a beautiful Rover 75 ("relax it's a Rover")
