I going with quite a different flow layout with my project and will be a tad apprehensive to start with,the coolant will exit the heads in 4 places .2 at the Back out of the transfer housings (I know this has been done before and can work) the other 2 exits are the middle core plug holes (also know of an engine that uses this layout and works).will be interesting how combining the 2 ideas will work but I'm optimistic with no engineering to back it up.will be testing it on a spare engine and us a infa red gun to see what happens
