    Seperating the diff stub axles?

2nd problem, I bought a supposedly reconditioned diff that needs new seals on the stub axles.

Despite a couple of weeks of soaking with penetrating oil, and heating the flange, no way can I knock the stub axle through the flange, are they allways this tight?
Do I need to see a man with a 3 ton press?

I just managed mine, but broke my puller in the process. I would say yes, you need a man with a press!

You will need to support the flange from the underside I made a plate at work and used a press one came of easy the other needed a bit more the flanges bend very easy if you do not support them. On another hub it bent just a bit but I was able to true it up in the lathe use a welders torch to get the heat on it, good luck.

        cheers Stuart
