Front wing repeater lights

On of my front wing repeater lights sometimes works (and sometimes doesn't), and I believe the problem is with the metal bulb holder that fastens through the wing. Over the past 31 years it has become worn.

Am I correct in thinking you can't buy this part alone, but you have to buy the complete lamp assembly? These are £50+ each, so I would rather not!

Had a similar problem with Stagatha when I recently got her, indicators slow and worked when they want, although mines probably lack of use?

I stripped all of the lights and sprayed the contacts with electrical switch/contact cleaner. Re-fitted them along with a new flasher unit and they now flash with the best of them! Local electrical factor or friendly electrician may help?

Got to be worth a try and cheaper than a new light if it works, the repeater has the capless bulb and probably just needs the contacts cleaning? Hope it works

i have a spare, you sre its not a wireing thing, i cannot see what is to go wrong on the metal part, or do you mean you need the rubber bit and wires?

My local friendly auto-electrician has checked the wiring to the front and side lights and has replaced all the wiring connectors and all the terminal connectors. There are a great many in total, but hopefully they will not need looking at again for another 30 years! We found that the socket into which the repeater bulb fits was loose, but it is working ok at the moment. If I have any further problems with it perhaps I might contact you for your spare.
