    Resistor Spark Plugs

Does anyone use resistor plugs (RN11YCC / BPR5E etc) in the Stag?

I am having trouble finding my ususal BP5E locally and it is such a pain to get them sent in the post, especially at this time of year! I can get resistor plugs easily so wondered whether to give them a go?

    Thanks,
    Brian

i had bad experiences with these many years ago and havn't used them since, i'd stick with BP5E's (there are loads of proper supplies on Ebay) ....... i dare say 23 others will be along shortly to sing their praises though

Gresley, let me know if you struggle finding the plugs. I can get a cheapish deal on BP5ESs if they are fine for you. You may PM me if you wish.

On the topic of resistor plugs I notice that a few Stag specialists sell resistor plugs (generally they tend to be NGK BPR5EYs).

Resistor plugs will cut down on the spark energy. I would not use them.

Thanks for the replies guys, looks like resisitor plugs are to be avoided.

Chas - if I can't get plugs at the weekend I will PM you, many thanks.
