On Line Mag Poll

423 members of the forum, 4000 plus members of SOC. But how many forum members read it regularly. On the age profile poll only 51 voted.

I'd be very happy to have the magazine electronically, but that would be a nightmare for those who don't have broadband. I wonder what the voting would be like if we put that up as a poll?

I voted no because there was no option for both on-line and hard copy. Why deny members not comfortable with the web their magazine?

I voted no. Whilst I do everything on-line it is quite good to spend quiet time reading away from the pc screen.

besides I wouldn't want to take my laptop into the smallest room:?

There is no reason why the club can't do both and send out the magazine as per normal, and upload a copy to the website as well to build up an internet based resourse for new members. The download stats can be compiled so the club can see the amount of times the mag is downloaded to gauge how popular it is with a few to members opting out of the paper copy if they want to.

The flaw in the plan of course is that if the members get the paper copy they won't need to download it!!:shock:

FWIW I still haven't got my copy of the mag, so if it had been available on line I wouldn't need it anyway.

The problem I have is my wireless signal on the toilet is no good..... makes an online version pretty useless to me anyway..... also using your laptop as emergency toilet paper is almost impossible so I think the paper version should stay - at least until I've lost all control down below and need nappies again....

This vote will be totally influenced by crap.

I voted "no" for the only reason that the downstairs study flushes better. It is the only place where I can get an hour of undisturbed peace and quiet.

I'm all for it being on line, but I'd still want a hard copy so I can read what there is to read in the bath. Laptops and water don't mix too well.
