price of seat foam to be replaced

Hi all, just had a quote to have both front seats replaced with new foam that i would supply, it came in at £300+VAT they are mk1 seats. is this good bad or just ugly for labour?
    Joel.

Joel, for that price you would expect to get much more than just labour for replacing foams. How about £75 per seat INCLUDING FOAMS?

If you want them done send me a PM (message)

Try Aldridge Trimming, they might have them. Plenty of good used rear seats about though.

I never heard of a Les Clark one. For all the info on my header tank have a look at our website www.stagweber.co.uk

                Hi Joel

Just had VMad refoam my backrests for me. I am really pleased with the results. See what you think.

                    Hi Cliff

yes, I wondered about my bases too, but the man thought they were fine and the rubber diaphragms were in reasonable nick. Just fitted the seats back into the car and the feel is completely different to before. Can't wait to try them out, but waiting for speedo to be returned before that can happen

                    Cheers

Seats look good but a question if I may. Looking at your photos, if the seat raising handles are turned clockwise should the raise or lower that seat base? Mine seem to do nothing that I can detect even after 20 turns!

                      Cheers

Sorry to say but they make b****r all difference and often the knob gets really tight so you can put a lot of effort in for next to nothing

They adjust the back of the base up or down but maximum difference is only about an inch or so

                        Cheers

I have the new type of moulded (foams) fitted to my seats and cannot be more happy with them no more foam bits dropping on the carpet support well and i do not get a back ache even after a ten hour drive only stopping for petrol

                            Hi Glenn,

Glad to hear that those have worked for you and I must take a look sometime. I like the idea of the one piece moulding - anything for an easier life - but I've seen a few bad reports about them. However, if they've worked for you then maybe I could use one when I finally get round to doing my passenger seat.

Are you going to the autojumble at the Bath & West in early February ?

                            Cheers

I presume you mean the Aldridge kit with moulded bolsters, not the one-peice foams?
