I was brought up listening to the dulcet tones of Frank Phillips and Alvar Lidell reading the news and the voice over on the training film is from their school. I agree about modern BBC announcers and newsreaders. They have me shouting at the T/V correcting their bad Americanised English.

Great piece of Stag history thanks. As it is LD 1 there are a couple of things I noticed, no door mirrors fitted, no chrome fillets on inside of doors, and engine has standard cam covers in silver colour fitted when all prototypes and early production cars had light blue ones. The engine shots on the stand show light blue covers but appear to have faded slightly to grey/blue.

Nice one Pete, really enjoyed that! Also noticed 2 round warning lights between speedo and tacho, the usual brake warning light and one below it, seems unique to LD1, any ideas anyone?

Thanks for all the comments everyone, it's great that you have enjoyed watching it as much as I do.

I will get the Toledo and 1500 parts finished and uploaded when time allows but sadly I do not have any of the other Stag related training films.

I see that they remade Straw Dogs in 2011. Not as good as the original because:
- Moved it to South USA - plenty of red necks so okay
- Kate Bosworth not a patch on Susan George too Skinny.
- James Marseden not a patch on Dustin Hoffman but who is
- E Type replaced Stag- as it got torched I'm prepared to accept the substitution!
