FRONT STRUT BRACE

Hi Guys!....have just been avin a nosey at MONARCH STAGS website on mods... and note with interest a strut brace option....has anyone fitted one and is it worth fitting for better handling?

Phil,

Can't for the life of me see what that is going to do for a normal Stag. Possibly see the point for one that is modified with very high power and maybe used for track days and the like. The front sections of a Stag don't exactly wobble about very much (Or at least shouldn't) :shock:

Hi Phil, can't agree more with Dave about the Strut Brace, unless you are about 20 years old and would like some :shock:BLING:shock:under your bonnet.

can't agree more I understand that strut braces were developed to stop flex in escort rally cars, are you intending to rally the stag? dont see the point otherwise

Hi thanks for all the feedback guys! I bow to all your learned experience! and will give it a wide berth! no intention to rally or suchlike!... just a bit curious! I don't know if many of you all had a nosey at there website??...some interesting items listed!

If you were open to suggestion ,after looking at the monarch web site there wouldn't be an original part left on your car.shorly most of the originalbits aren't that bad for every day use.Must admit though the originalMonarchStag came up for sale not so long ago and thepics looked mouth watering.It was 20k though but if you add up all the mods on the web site it's proberbly cheap.I've got a holley from this site and the mod was well thought out IMO.
