    Other jobs done & dusted.

Just completed a brake upgrade, fitting new vented disc with 4 pot calipers, also progressive springs fitted and front end polybushed to match rear, feels good on the road, more positive turn in and less wallowing. Brakes still bedding in but feels very positive.

Martin, no, no dust shield used, original wouldn't fit the modifications. Doesn't appear to have any ill effects, been running my MG without for 12 years with no problems.

Jammcar2, alas I'm no longer in that shed but it was good whilst it lasted.

Mike, discs from EJ Wards, calipers from Wilwood, EBC greenstuff pads from EBC, and the adaptors made up by a local machinist who is ace at mods & takes an intrest (he owns a cracking MGB). The discs are 270mm but there is enough room to use those callipers and increase disc radius to probably 320mm and still use the 14" Stag alloys.
The additional offset would increase braking force.

                John.
