Headrests

Our stag is an early MkII with shadow blue interior but no headrests. The holes are there with black plastic covers so my questions are:
1) will the internal mechanism be in place if headrests weren't fitted as new;
2) will only stag headrests fit or will any typical BL item from the period do; and
3) does anyone have any spare ones they're willing to trade?

Hello Rich. Funnily enough my interior was shadow blue and didn't have headrests, just the holes blanked out with black pastic covers, too. I was forunate to be given a pair of head rests and they went in no problem. I hope that helps.
