Timing questions

My scribes aren't down this way alittle bit.....no bit more....just a touch more...... I turned my jackshaft by mistake when doing my chains, i just set the timing marks up then put the dizzy back in as near as dammit then set it up with a strobe and by ear!! Seems ok for the last 2k miles.

I guess that line was set up like that from the factory and all instructions in the ROM are centred on getting it all back together without having to rediscover how the distributor fits. IIRC the Timing Chain DVD just mentions putting a blob of paint there.
