A lot of engine and boxe for little money

If only I could find some one to do the work, I have tried, they all say stick to the stag engine. Favesham has found me a stag engine from some called Rob who's car was written off. They said I should buy his engine for 1k. I asked him if it was a good engine - they said they won't know until they get it back to the workshop and have a look, so I could be paying 1K for a lemon! They said that's the chance you take with second hand. There are no guarantees. I'm still running around with my old engine, but they say I'm doing it more damage as the top will be starved of oil... but what does it matter if I'm going to get rid of it some day!

I've just noticed there's a couple of secondhand Stag V8's in the June 08 SOC mag classifieds, at £300 & £350 a piece you might want to check out if going down that route.
