At least Stags have great heaters. I wish I did grab a photo, but I left my camera at the unit after working on my long neglected Peugeot 205! Ah well.

All I heard yesterday on the radio and TV was, the snow is coming, 4" of snow will fall overnight, be prepared for 4"snow, don't go out. 100cm snow on its way overnight.

My wife's boss said take the day off as annual leave because you wont get into work, 4" snow WILL fall overnight in the area shown, the weather people said, 4" snow, 4" snow, be warned, amber alert!!!

What hapened, F**K ALL AS USUAL. SACK THE LOT OF 'EM AND GIVE THEIR WAGES TO THE ELDERLY.

Oh apparently SOME areas got snow but nowhere near as bad as predicted.
I only do what the voices in my wife’s head tell me to do!

Bring it on. At last having a Defender makes sense. Heavy snow is the only time I ever get to overtake things other than bikes and joggers.

There are so many BIG 4X4s around, mostly driven by women taking their ONE child to school I notice, that when we do get bad weather, they are too scared to drive

Enjoy the snow when/if it does come Richard, great fun if others don't get in the way.

            Morning Jeff,

As some on here know, I have absolutely zero faith in our weather forecasters. However I have to say that, at least for us, they've got it right this time.

I live just of a main trunk route but there is still no traffic going through because of the snow. Just now a snow plough/gritter went through and a car followed it but then got stuck on the hill outside our house and had to reverse and turn round .

            Cheers

            Julian

              Morning Julian,

I was going to ask you how it was where you are? Just seeing the news and you have it bad, it is just starting here, I was beginning to feel left out, but they still got it wrong for my area

Just taking my wife to work, 11 miles each way, got me flask and shovel, but front wheel drive makes it safer, might not pick her up later though.

              Take care.

              Jeff.

I reckon if I did my job as efficiently as weather forecasters then I'd have been sacked decades ago. But everybody has to get something right once in a while

                Still no traffic going past.

                Cheers

It's just started in South London, makes a change from cranes and helicopters falling out the sky

If you get 100cm that will be cause for concern it'll probably collapse most roofs in the UK. 100 mm would seem more likely.

We even have a smattering down here. Roads don't get treated here, so it is a bit dodgy out there.

Had to laugh at the 0600 BBC news this morning. A reporter standing on a motorway bridge 'on the M5 in Somerset' bleating on about "how they had been preparing all night; we've had an inch so far........."

Oh how they like to make a crisis out of nothing............

No wonder the Scots out here where I work are rolling around p***ing themselve laughing.......

We have a good dollop here...

I set out for work this morning but did not get far... luckily the Stag is really good in the snow (and I am so grateful for the amazing Stag heater!!). I managed to get back home but it took me ages to get the Stag back in the garage, not only do I live on a 1 in 8 hill but my driveway is on a similar slope too. Exciting stuff!! It is now snowing very heavily and we have about 4" so far... Worst of all, I didn't have my camera with me !

Brian - who now has a snow covered Stag in his garage...
Drive a Stag every day... it's wonderful!

The snow inspired me to look at some holiday pictures, this is how the Italians deal with it (can you spot the stunt man) I watched 2 of them doing this over 2 days

Dry it off if you can....

Drove to work from home near Nantwich up to the other side of Chester and had the best journey I've had in ages

I'm also tempted to say that I'm a bit disappointed with the lack of snow (so far) - my "normal" car is from a well known German manufacturer in Bavaria whose rear wheel drive with the traction control off makes journeys on snow great fun especially if your works car park is covered in snow and empty. Unfortunately it seems virtually eveyone has made it into work this morning so the car park is relatively full
