Now I know the Stag uses the same brake pads as a Transit but are the callipers the same and if so the ones for the Ford Escort / Capri are these the same size? At £38.00 each it would be a good buy, just a thought.

The Royale Sabre was the nicest looking kit cars, GT40 excepted, IMHO. Used to have the 2.8 Ford V6.
