Hello all. Last Saturday I received my car from the paintshop. Looks like new now!
Hood fixing (small cut to be stitched up and sealed) for this Saturday, radio and loudspeakers for next Tuesday and rev counter and new dash bulbs for the Wednesday. This is my schedule.
And the car will be finished and ready to show off.
Well, we all know that this car (or any other old banger) is never finished. Yesterday I discovered that the washer pump doesn't work. The motor runs but no water coming out.
I cleaned the pump and put some oil drops. This evening I will have a new try, with little hope TBH, since the paddles are a bit tired and worn out.
My idea is to put a new pump sourced from a local scrapyard. The original pump would cost me around 60 € including VAT and shipment and I can source a pump from the scrapyard maybe for 5 or 10 €.
My problem now is what pump should I choose. Have any of you tried to install a different pump to the Stag? I think that the only problem is to choose a pump able to suck the water up instead of impel it.
Any idea?
As always, thanks for your help.
