I am rebuilding the doors and have come across a vinyl piece with a rubber strip glued to it which has old glue on one side, does any of you fine folk know where it fits??

I think it is there to cover that coiled spring that counteracts the weight of the window glass, presumably to stop it damaging the water curtain as it rotates The rubber strip should be glued to the door above the spring so the vinyl hangs down over it. I think! Mike. -
