    interior

i have promised myself to fit a leather trim complete in my stag and now have been introduced to a trimmer by a forum member and its is all excellent and now in the pipeline so to speak but iam unsure as to whether i should have my dash and console and t bar and toneua cover done in the same cream leather ? ive only seen two examples of this i like it but not sure if it wouldnt be to much! and i dont mean £. or should i leave the dash /t bar and console and just do the rest.
any ideas to help me make up my mind would be greatly recieved or pics that could help ,my car is white and the trim i would like in cream leather with navy blue piping to match my navy blue soft top.

See what you think of these. I'm really pleased. The job was done by Transcal in Livingston, near Edinburgh, using Bridge of Weir leather.

    Good luck !

If I had the money I'd have a leather interior the same colour as Richards but I'd have the dash and console in black leather perhaps with light stitching to provide some balance to the overall effect.
Also the top of the dash will attract dust and sun discolouration which will be less noticable on a black surface.
      Just my opinion and dream.

I'm just hoping that my car will run regularly and long enough to see if sun discolouration affects it ! Feels like I've had about ten hours relaxed running so far !

Steve - I was advised by the trimmer to go for black on the dash to avoid reflection of a cream dash onto the windscreen. Having decided that I went for black on the T-bar to balance (console in magnolia). Not sure where you are in Bucks, but you're more than welcome to have a look over mine in Berks?

The dash and console on original stags with beige interior were, I believe all in black, and I have always thought that looks OK. I just changed my car to beige, but my wife mentioned the black T-bar; and I agreed that I thought it looked a bit out of place; does anyone know if the T-bars were colour coded to match interior or all black?

                Hi Chris,

ALL Stag T bars were originally black as were all dashes and consoles.

                Cheers

I have seen a lt tan colour with the cream and thats the way I would go,as I think the cream looks a bit too much on its own.And I'm a big fan of light interiors..

Thats what I thought Julian. I think because of that and the fact that my T-bar cover is new, I will leave it like that. I have more than enough to do anyway!
PS: thinking of sharing a stand at Stoneleigh but not sure if its worth the hassle.
                    Cheers

And that's the way they should be. Just my opinion of course. Feel free to ignore it. SWMBO does......

Two items worth considering. Reflections in the windscreen from light dash tops can be a pain. Probably why nearly all manufacturers do dash tops in dark colours. similar potential issue with the rear view mirror and the T bar. Anyone with a light coloured T bar noticed this??
Second item - re trimming the T bar is rarely IMHO fully successful, I know mine isn't great ( new foams & condom) I don't think you can replace the cover and keep the old foam as it falls to bits. Trimming over the old cover would just make it bulky. I'm now looking for a good used T bar to replace my retrimmed one.

                            I tend to agree, although.........

When I got mine it had a slightly tatty, beige T bar cover to go with the slightly tatty beige interior. I replaced the T bar cover with the proper black one and then retrimmed the seats. Now, I rather fancy a beige T bar cover

                            Cheers
