not really stag related but a morale to it!

posted on another forum but might be of some interest on here also the person responsible may read it!

yesterday evening went to pick my wife up from east midlands airport (returning from visiting her ill father in spain) anyway parked up went in the arrivals hall checked the screen which indicated landed 2 mins ago-perfect i thought so sat down while i waited for her to collect luggage etc then we would be on our way.made our way back to the car put the luggage on the floor hand in pocket and shock horror NO KEY!!! bloody hell where's that gone checked rest of pockets--nothing-panic.gets the wife to stay by the car and headed back to arrivals, checked where i'd been sitting,in the gents which i had visited nothing!how can you lose a bloody great v70 key like that, thinking well if i ring my son to bring the spare key its 40 miles away and he will be really chuffed at 10 o'clock at night hmmmm, then i spotted an information desk and thought well it's worth a try! so asked the lady "excuse me but has anyone by chance handed a car key in? what make she asks,a volvo i replied "with which she reached under the counter and produced my key
relief! joy and more joy made my bloody day "where was it " i asked "on one of the seats over there" she said "well thank you very much i said" and walked away smiling all the way back to the car.i've now learned from this episode to put the key in my trouser pocket even if it it bulky and NOT in my jacket pocket!!
would just like to say it has restored my faith in human nature and if by any chance the good samaritan is on this forum a million thanks and i hope one day i may be able to do you a good turn.
    count myself very lucky!!!

When I was in Sydney, Australia recently, I popped in a small shop on George Street (Sydney's Main street) to buy a sandwich and a drink,
and on reaching in my pocket to pay the shopkeeper put my relatively expensive new camera on the counter, then walked out forgetting to pick it up.
It was several minutes later further down the street when my wife said "where's your camera", and it suddenly dawned on me I must have left it in the shop,
and it was a pretty busy little shop at the time. I dashed back there, and as I walked in the shopkeeper (I think he was from Pakistan), immediately reached down under the counter and produced my camera - saying in an Aussie accent "I was wondering how long it would be before you came back for it".
Restored my faith in human nature too as someone else in the shop could have easily picked it up without the shopkeeper noticing.

I lost my credit card in the grand canyon (really) and some kind soul found it and handed it in to the rangers. Hardest part was convincing the ranger that it was actually my card

I tend to think 'good does good' or something like that

        Good news on the keys

Walking in Devon (Hartland POint) with SWMBO and our toddler when we got back to the car I realised my wedding ring was no longer on my finger. Aaaaargh.

Retraced my steps and came across some walkers. They could se I was looking for something and asked whet, when I told them they said they had seen it, picked it up and put it on a post knowing that whoever lost it wouldbe back to find it. How relieved was I? We worked out it had been pulled off my finger hen I was lifting and generally larking around with our toddler.

Left my Amex in the local railway station machine as well - staff took care of it. Nice to know there are some good souls out there.

Did my own good turn the other day. Stopped at Cherwell Valley Services, sat down, found folio on the seat. Nobody came back for it so I looked inside to see if I could identify the owner. Found his business cards, called him and he was able to turn round and get it. Felt good about myself that day

So glad I'm not an American

I once lost my phone. When I called it someone answered it and met me where I had lost it. I try to stop if I see someone broken down or injured even if it's to get there car to a safe place. I'm always amazed how many just drive by while your struggling.
