The rear seat back rest is secured by two bolts at the top from within the hood storage area, has anyone modified this to allow the rear seat back rest to be removed from inside the car?
The reason for asking is that if, for whatever reason, the hood release failed it would be very easy to fix if the rear back rest could be easily removed.
With the current arrangement I am not sure how access to the hood catch would be possible without damaging something.
I was thinking of bolting plates to the existing top brackets and fitting plates to the rear support which would allow the back rest to be removed by simply sliding it up and out, i.e. a similar arrangement to the bottom fixing.
Has anyone tried that, done something similar or foresee any problems?
Phil
