    Brake fluid loss

    Evening All

This evening as I opened up the garage to put the stag away I noticed a significant pool of what appeared to be brake fluid on the floor. I checked the reservoir and sure enough the level had dropped in the rear most chamber. Upon closer inspection I discovered a trail of fluid from where the master cylinder meets the servo. The trail then lead down to the front chassis leg where it was busy softening the paintwork

Am I correct in thinking that the master cylinder is buggered? I see LD Parts are out of stock of their sleeved cylinders.

    Regards

    Bruce

Yep, unless it from where the reservoir joins to the M/Cylinder.

      Hi All

I fitted a new master cylinder to the Stag yesterday. When I removed the old one it became very evident that it had been busy leaking fluid into the servo and the engine bay

          Hi Glenn

Perhaps I will buy a set of seals and fit them and then retain the old cylinder as a backup spare.

          Regards
