    Dodgy emails (not stag)

I have received a couple of dodgy looking emails from people I know, but there is no text, just a weblink. I have not opened the link as it looks suspect because there people would not have sent just a link with no text.

Is this some sort of malware or scam?

malware on your friend's computer I think which has tried to perpetuate itself via email to you. See SaskStags Yahoo hacked thread, much the same thing. Get some anti spyware/malware and update regularly. There are some products listed on the thread I have just mentioned I think

Chris, one or more of them were from me because of previous purchases, I think you even got one from my work email, although I used that to warn you. Ignore the suspicious ones, and the link.
Unfortunately my son's German high school exchange student opened the link and it was about a woman local to him who was making $$$$ at home. I'm not sure if the malware picks up on some local story to make the link look less supsicious.

Apparently, through the local car club here, another forum has been having problems. This a message from the UK Morgan Forum posted as a warning to our local car club members.

      > Looking at the message headers this looks like a hack at Yahoo's end rather than an attack on the users computer. If you are really sad you can read about it here <http://tinyurl.com/bjzsm54> It says Yahoo have fixed the flaw but if you read the comments section it would appear it is still happening.

      > As all the emails I have received both via Mogtalk and personally are either addresses from BT/Yahoo or Yahoo this would figure."

      Take care out there,
      Tanya

          Chris.
A colleague from work his daughter downloaded an app for his IPad and it successfully emailed and texted all his contacts list including landline text.
It ended up costing him £80 in text and call charges.
He was not happy!! as of course he then had to text , email and call everyone so that they did not do the same.
It was from "Tango" so just be aware.
          Paul.
