Is it just a split ? No material missing ?

If so, you may get away with what worked well for me. I just gently pulled back the edges of the split and forced in a little evo stick. I then pushed the split ends back down and covered with Sellotape until it had set. Result ? Joint almost invisible - well pleased

    Cheers

Hi Julian, yes just splits, do you mean evo stick as in contact adhesive ?, i wondered if superglue would work, but I know it melts certain types of plastic and don't fancy an 'experiment'

      Thanks

        Hi Nauts,

Yep, ordinary Evo stick contact adhesive, although with the benefit of more experience since I did the job, I would try and do it a little bit more like the manufacturer's instructions. Ie, gently prize away the edges of the split, put in the adhesive, BUT THEN ALLOW IT TO ALMOST DRY, before pressing back in place.

Personally, I wouldn't risk using superglue.

        Good luck.

        Cheers

Superglue normally leaves a white mess on vinyl that won't come off....

            Ok Thanks,
I'll give it some thaught, I think years ago somebody used to do a vinyl adhesive that was black in colour so it blended in, also have to get all my dash wood repaired, can't justify a complete new set so am going to try and find someone local (Bedfordshire) to repair/re-veneer fancy a dark walnur burr.
