Do'es anybody know if it is possible to repair the black vinyl on the dashboard ?, mine has a couple of splits and I don't really want to replce the whole thing. Thanks in advance

If so, you may get away with what worked well for me. I just gently pulled back the edges of the split and forced in a little evo stick. I then pushed the split ends back down and covered with Sellotape until it had set. Result ? Joint almost invisible - well pleased

Hi Nauts,
Yep, ordinary Evo stick contact adhesive, although with the benefit of more experience since I did the job, I would try and do it a little bit more like the manufacturer's instructions. Ie, gently prize away the edges of the split, put in the adhesive, BUT THEN ALLOW IT TO ALMOST DRY, before pressing back in place.
Personally, I wouldn't risk using superglue.

I'll give it some thaught, I think years ago somebody used to do a vinyl adhesive that was black in colour so it blended in, also have to get all my dash wood repaired, can't justify a complete new set so am going to try and find someone local (Bedfordshire) to repair/re-veneer fancy a dark walnur burr.1975 TV8, MX5 Sportsnav (Mrs), VW T6
