rod bouldings editorial scribings had a bit to much descriptive meanderings, the bit about the food poisoning just had to much information!

Having read a few mags now, I really think they are pretty boring. The only thing that remotely interests me is the technical stuff and the 'whats on'. The area reports are often mind numbing and take up more than half the mag, with only perhaps less than one page of interest to any member - what a waste of space on such a regular basis. Looking backat some 1996 mags that I have, they were a little better, but not much. I'd agree with the suggestion that a three monthly mag would make much more sense and allow a reduction in subs or more money to go into tooling.
If I look back on three months on this forum there has been a wealth of stuff on here. Clicking on the 'replies' and 'views' headers sorts the posts in order of interest.
What it shows clearlyis that there is an interest in the Club, and a yearning for change and improvement. Gatherings are of great interest too with the forthcoming Brands Hatch meeting leading the way. Discussions on all sorts of matters technical abound and totally eclipse what is in the magazine. A search on this forum is quick and easy and even if it doesn't answer your question, you can ask it and many generous forum members will come forward with the information and advice you need.
Many members of the club must be unaware of the resource here. The forum needs much greater exposure in the magazine to attract members and their own personal contributions. It will lead to the Stag Owners Club being a much better club for everyone. I'm off to the area meeting on Tuesday and will ask around to see how many people there actually use the forum.

Since joining I must confess that the June mag is the worst yet.(and it was late)
1- The 1st 2 pages of officers and club info etc, whilst this is useful we don't need it in every issue
2-Welcome to new members-I beleive this is really important , but letting us know who joined 3months ago is a bit late
3-Kingpin- fab lets have more
4-Advertising- as it takes so long to get a list of new members in the mag how 'up-to-date' are the Ads? It certainly wouldn't be my 1st choice for advertising
5- The Forum- Push it, promote it, shout about it!!!!! we all know it is probably the most useful bit of the club, it is instantly available to all and up to date. We need to promote it far more, it is the way forward
Darren
But at least the Chalet is still in the Mag!
