    Cleaning Stag seats

With an hour to go before drinkies time this evening I decided to clean the driver's seat in my red Stag. I used Tesco 'Foam Upholstery Cleaner' and, as most of you will know, it seems the foam will never entirely wash off the seat afterwards with the 'soft damp cloth'. Having said that, the seat has now dried and it looks clean and fresh again.

I was wondering what cleaners other people use and would recommend. It's the bobbly bits of our upholstery that cause the difficulty.

I use Autoglym interior shampoo - brings vinyl up spotless with very little effort and seems to get in all the crevices.

Thanks for that suggestion Brian - when my Tesco stuff runs out I shall definitelytry the Autoglym.

I find I am using more and more Autoglym products these days. Apart from the resin polish I now use the tyre dressing and the glass polish. Both of these are by far the best for their respective jobs above all the others I have used previously.

As regards normal carmetal polish, some of my neighbours are reporting good results from 'Mer' polish. Hope I have spelled that correctly. It is at least as expensive as Autoglym resin polish, but it does seem good.
